Flatirons Orthopedic requested a new responsive website to improve patient experience and accessibility. Their patients struggled with booking appointments, experienced frustration finding patient resources, connecting with orthopedic surgeons, and locating offices. Confusing scheduling systems, limited surgeon accessibility, and inadequate location details created frustration, leading to delays in treatment and decreased patient satisfaction.
The Task
Initial brainstorming and user research revealed that balancing medical information clarity with an intuitive layout would be our top priority. The Flatirons’ team wanted to increase patient satisfaction, conversions and traffic, while decreasing bounce rates. Additionally, aligning branding with modern aesthetics while maintaining professionalism required careful design decisions.

The new responsive website for Flatirons Orthopedic significantly boosted conversions, traffic, and KPI’s, surpassing company expectations. Optimized for mobile and SEO, it enhanced user experience, reduced bounce rates by 75%, and improved appointment bookings. Faster load times drove higher engagement, establishing a stronger digital presence.
Our Solution
We crafted an intuitive layout with scalable typography, adaptive menus, and prioritized content, enhancing accessibility and user experience. A simplified user journey for booking and finding a provider allowed users to complete their bookings with 50% less screens. The new mobile design was streamlined for quick access to the booking and locations pages to accommodate the nearly 60% of users who were accessing the site via mobile.
